2009 Year in Review
Because I do it every year, and I usually find that doing so makes me feel both optimistic about the coming year and spurs me on to keep writing, and, really, why ruin a good thing?
So back in 2007, my count was 120 (seriously, I was INSANE that year, and cursing myself as I uploaded stuff over to Archive of Our Own) and last year, after some problems maintaining a writing rhythm, my total count was... 32. LOL. This year I've fallen somewhere between the two:

- So the Alphabet Drabbles did fantastic things for my fic count, and I plan on doing them again this spring, because I honestly had a lot of fun doing them.
- This is the first year I wrote slash, homg.
- No Halloween fic this year, sad. The surgery in mid September clearly messed up some writing mojo there for a little while there.
- Actually, it doesn't seem like I wrote very many meaty pieces this year - Reassembled counts, so does Lux et Lex, and Of Sound Mind. Of Sound Mind is probably my favorite, and also the emotionally complex of anything I did this year.
- It's pretty clear when I discovered Percy Jackson, huh?
For 2010, stuff I either want to complete or work on:
- My fic for fma_big_bang, for one. I'm still nervous about finishing it on time for the deadline, especially once school starts, but the mod was very nice and I'm finishing it no matter what.
- Percy Jackson road trip fic.
- I also had a fanfic for Percy and Annabeth's first Christmas together that I didn't get a chance to write this year for being so wrapped up in Big Bang fic, so I'll probably attempt that this year as well.
- That freaking 5 nevers for Toph that I've started like, a YEAR AGO and WILL NOT EVER BE FINISHED I SWEAR TO GOD.
- A sequel to Shadows in the Mind or trying to figure out Evil Aang AU fic so that it finally works, sheesh.
- More fanfic filling in the backstory with Shinji and Hiyori. I have so many ideas for them, and if they ever reappear in the manga I know it'll inspire me again. I both want Kubo to tell us their backstory SO BAD OMG BECAUSE IT IS CLEARLY THERE AND SO SIGNIFICANT but I also do not want Kubo to tell us their backstory on account of Kubo revealing a backstory generally means said character is about to die.
- I've had a fic idea for The IT Crowd floating around in my mind for a while, and Josie has been trying to coax me into writing for Powerpuff Girls for a good few months now, so never rule out anything from there either.
