Victorian Gothic January Newsletter

A Happy New Year to you all!

On the surface Victorian Gothic has been quite quiet during December and January. This is in stark contrast to what is going on behind the scenes where we are busy diversifying the line and also planning a couple of events (more to follow over the coming year).

Commissions are still coming in, which is great and this year, looks to be shaping up to be the year of the brides! I still have about 4 slots available for August/September brides, but these are going fast. I can't wait to be able to show you some wedding pics, but that will have to wait! We also clothe mothers of the bride/groom and also bridesmaids too of all ages.

On a sad note I have just heard that the famous Victorian Picnic Steam Hauled Trains at Bluebell Railway Sussex UK will only be running for one weekend this year (2nd & 3rd July 2011) rather than the normal 2-3 weekends as in past years. I can not stress enough what good fun they are, value for money and a memorable experience. Places tend to run out fast and group bookings work out very economical. All information can be found here: http://www.bluebell-railway.com/event/victorian-picnic/ A great opportunity to sport your finest Victorian attire with dressing up warmly encouraged.

Well the rest of January sees me pattern drafting and making mock ups. We have the Albery Gown sample and a couple of articles in the SALE section, though it is very doubtful despite all the new things planned that there will be any more Victorian gown samples for sale in the foreseeable future.

One last thing, don't forget a few key dates for your outfit planning( especially if you are planning on commissioning something from VG as we usually need at least 8 weeks notice on a gown or 4 for one piece such as a skirt, bodice pelerine etc.) EVENTS SECTION found in NEWS section on the navigation bar of http://www.victorian-gothic.co.uk

Thank you for your continued support and let’s hope that this is a happy and healthy year for us all.
