Nooooo, he's NOT a god, he's Leviathan. He got a lot of power and tried to be a god but obviously he wasn't built for it and he started to decompose. All in one episode. And when he tried to get rid of the souls that made him all powerful a Leviathan clung on and now Cas is dead and Leviathan is in his borrowed body

It was always less the lack of female characters that bothered me, than the way those characters were treated by the writers and the fandom as a whole. It always got icky.

Augh, the way fandom treated the females on the show was atrocious! I can't even. I mean, Jo annoyed me but not because Dean liked her! I just didn't like the character because I'm way too picky for my own good! And the writers bowing to the fans' demands...just augh.
It was backstory having to do with opening the door to purgatory. He was a real man, SPN...you can't just change actual facts fffffff!
Death was back in this episode. He's the guy from Kingdom Hospital and he is so awesome, I can't even-

Thiiiiiiiiiis. I remember when it was about Sam and Dean, hunting monsters, kicking ass and taking names, and there was none of this convoluted 'Oh the world's ending! Wait, no it's not! Oops, our bad, it totes is again.'
Can we call it the Crowley, Gabriel, and Balthazar show? Because they were my favorites. Ignoring the fact that two of them died (fuck you, Kripke), this show has changed radically in a lot of ways, and it's not the one I remember kicking people out of the living room to watch in college. But I've stuck with it for five years now, I'll see it through to the end.

I love Crowley! And I am so so so sad they killed Balthazar. He was great! I now have episode 2 so I should probably watch it and lol moar.
