Good day today

Finally managed to get my cousin to go out on her day off instead of sleeping all day. We haven't just gone out and goofed off like that in a while and it was fun!

We went shopping (FINALLY found a headboard for my bed that I LOVE after searching for a year or two, and it was $10 at goodwill...just needs some paint and some caps on the open ends) and some very cheap clothes as well. Three pairs of pants and three shirts for $30. And a cute little wallet with a cat on it for $3.

Anyway, we also went out to get dinner and then headed over to the Ripley's Believe it or not museum out on the beach. That was fun! The exibits were interesting, though I was upset when we found out the hurricane wind machine wasn't there. The sign was, but obviously they'd moved it. Maybe it was messed up.

They also had a limo covered in gold coins, and a bunch of other crazy attractions. But my favorite was a seperate thing you can do if you want, it just costs extra. They have a moving theatre! I suppose you could compare it to those little box-like moving theatres I'm sure everyone has seen before, where it looks like everyone is probably pretty crammed in there together and the whole thing moves. But this is WAY better. It's an open theatre with these big yellow seats that are completely seperate from one another, so you have plenty of room. And if you want your seat to move, you buckle up, and if you don't, you leave it unfastened.

They showed two movies. The first was fairly tame but interesting, where you were in the water. They splash you, and you really do feel like you are hitting rocks and getting messed with by huge creatures. It was okay.

The SECOND one, though! I LOVED IT! It was an intergalactic space coaster and it really, really felt like you were going that fast! They had fans making it feel like the wind was blowing, and when you 'flew off the track' they did something to make you feel like you were. And the scenery was very creative and well-imagined! It was awsome, and highly recommended for anyone who might be too chicken to ride a real coaster, because it does give you a good idea of what it must feel like.

...

As for the people who love coasters, you'll probably end up like me, wishing for a real coaster now that you've been reminded of how much you like them, and planning your next theme park vacation. LOL
