the "S" word
today, i see Dr. Powell about having arthroscopic surgery. my knees are getting worse and worse and, for the last couple of month, i haven't been able to drive comfortably or stand up for more than 20 minutes. forget yoga. since i have fibro, i have Medicare, but there's still going to be a big fat bill to pay, and i have no clue where the money's going to come from. and the beginning of the knee paid was 10 years ago, when i was walking down Red Mt., slipped and fell and damaged the tendon that runs between the kneecap and the heel. never let it heal properly because i couldn't bear to just sit around for 6 weeks with my leg in a cast. after only 24 hours, i broke out in a major rash all over my body, and i had to take the cast off and soak in cool water with baking soda in it, which got rid of the pox-like lesions. and i just never put the cast back on.
