Merlin 4x12

So I don't normally put up post episode thoughts and comments. Mostly because I'm too damn lazy and partly because much of what I'm going to say has already been said by many people by the time I get to it. This time though I have to say something because after last week's episode I'm a little disappointed with how this one turned out. There were no real edge of the seat moments. No real parts where I felt absolutely certain that someone might possibly die, at least someone important. Like Gwaine or Elyan or Percival. Arthur, Merlin and Gwen surviving was pretty much a given so there was no real peril for them involved and Gaius is the lovable old father figure so even his moment of peril seemed too unlikely. Morganna's final end was a disappointment too, and I'm kinda upset that rather than Mordred and the Druids finding her it was Aithusa who healed her. Poor white baby dragon.

Over all I didn't mind the episode, it just didn't live up to last week's epic. A shame really because they missed so many opportunities with it.

Merlin also should have totally told Arthur the truth. We all know it.
