In many ways Chuck is the anti-BSG: non-stop belly laughs versus counter the ulcer-causing churning over Colonial angst. But it does have a lot in common with BSG: quality show, excellent writers, amazing cast and supporting cast, and even the same jerk network execs (vis-a-vis the WGA and iTunes pull-out

I can't wait for the last two episodes ... and when the strike is over there had better be more!

Is it true that Canada'll get it earlier on Tuesday rather than US telecast advertised on Thursday?

As for Canada getting Chuck earlier, I haven't heard a thing about it. Mind you I don't have cable. We buy all our tv shows from iTunes in the USA (yes it's illegal but we have a business acquaintance that allows us to use his account) so we only get it once it's loaded there, and that happens after it airs in the USA.
Cute icon. I didn't get it the first time I saw it. :) Love the weinerlicious getup.

I would imagine we'll find a way to get it as well. NBC thinks they're doing themselves a favour by making their shows only available through THEIR webside but really they're just encouraging people to download their shows illegally. I don't do that as a rule but if I'm forced ...
We can't get iTunes legally in Canada. At all. We've tried, and it sucks that only the USA can't, considering the rest of the world is downloading things illegally because their stations aren't airing things in any timely fashion (if at all). If only these guys would realize that making things MORE available would encourage people to buy. $2 for a show is nothing!
Pretty soon there will be nothing for me to watch - Moonlight just finished and this week Chuck is done ... I don't know what I'm going to do. Pull out my Firefly DVD's I guess and rewatch (for about the dozenth time). :)

We can't get iTunes legally in Canada. At all. If you have a mac, open iTunes homepage and scroll to the very very bottom, and there will be a scroll menu of flags of countries ... just change the flag to the Stars and Stripes. Voila, you're in the US (well, the iTunes Store, anyway). Then, load it with a prepaid card (you can even buy yourself US dollar gift certificates online once your iTunes is 'in' the States). All Legal! Even in the Philippines! I tried to get french songs from France iTunes, but you need to get prepaid euro cards for that.... but the free downloads are downloadable once ( ... )

the going rate for a whole season of one show is PhP70, or US$1.50!
HOLY CRAP! That's cheap. Wow. Most DVD sets are so expensive. We tend to buy the ones we download illegallyl though, because the only reason we download is because they're not available to us any other way and the hubby likes to make it legal by paying (even if only later). He's a stickler that way. :)
