[Episode 9: Watchers on the Wall]The finale is here and I haven't posted my liveblogging of ep. 9, mainly because RL was so aggravating and I was just overall underwhelmed; I wonder if its because the multi day, multi battle SIEGE was compressed to one battle, perhaps to JUST bookend "Blackwater" Battle

Oh phew, Jojen was burned -- cause that would be just painful.
More Children - more of these types of episodes or more of those Fey Fireball Girls?
Well at least Sansa had her 'hero' goodbye with that black dress and the black hair. The others: Ellaria is Oberyn's partner - she's still in King's Landing or did she go back to Dorne? Dalla is a woman in Mance Rayder's inner circle that deals with Stannis, Jon, Red Priestess. Nymeria is Arya's dire wolf - remember she scared her away from people in Episode 2 Season 1 - so she's not dead. Its not in the books, except that the peasant folks that Brienne/Podrick and Hound/Arya encounter complain about human reavers and also wild wolves terrorizing the countryside and farmlands - I was hoping that we'd get a glimpse of Nymeria, just to make sure she's alive. I'm not sure but I believe Arya dreamed-warg once in Nymerial near the Twins (where Frey hosted the Red Wedding) - so I was hoping that we'd get a glimpse of dire wolves! (There is another Nymeria - one of Obyrn's seven daughters in Dorne, but I don't think she's very important yet except that I noticed she had the same name).
Dany at the University of Meereen, school of ruling? Imagine the Frat Parties. Here's the thing - she shows up at Westeros with her Army - then what? Better the devil you know than the Devil you don't, is what I think a lot of ruling families might see - also, they remember her CRAZY dad, if you think Joffery was bad - think of her dad 10x worse and ruling for decades!
I think Bran asked the old man under the Red Tree (is he the Children of the Forest? I'm not sure if he or the Fireball Fey or the Tree is the "Children") if he will walk again; he says no, but you will fly.
I thought he fought Brienne because he believed that Brienne was loyal to the Lannisters and he didn't want give Arya as a Lannister hostage. What his plan was after the Vale, we never got to find out, altough Arya thought to go to the Wall via Eastwatch by Sea Castle before going to Braavos.
I too would like Dragons, especially since they can kill/burn the zombies. There were those visions, both by Dany and by Team Bran with the Iron Throne in an abandoned hall snow-filled or ash-filled. Could there be no more Iron Throne at the end? (Speculations!!) Might the zombies have overruned Westeros? Or have the dragons burned King's Landing?
What will we do now? Any shows? I'm watching True Blood - but I have no interest in discussing that WTFery - it too negative. Major Crimes is wonderful, but not much for discussion. I've finished with Orphan Black, starting Defiance, saw a bit of Dominion (beautiful cast, has some Dune-esque production) but am not sure I will be interested. I'll usually try to watch all the summer premeries, but I still need to catch up on Fargo, Reign, Elementary, Mentalist, Good Wife, and Downton this summer. Any ideas? How about cakes?
Jorgen wasn't burned to death. He was burned after death. I read someone's recap and it seems Meera slit his throat and then Fireball Girl burned him after death. So definitely no zombie there.
Frat parties in Meeren might end abruptly in death by dragon so I don't know. I want her to arrive at Westeros so it's not dragged out for ten years. She has claim to the throne. They should know it. Let Cersei scheme against her. I want to see that!
Ooh, you're going to watch Downton! That will be so fun for you.
I'm watching Orange is the New Black and Black box. Catching up with Switched at Birth, slowly. Last ep of Nurse Jackie is awaiting me.
Cakes? Sadly, no. But it is berry pie season. But I might just eat them instead of bake them. :-)
