Oh, dearie. *hugs* You and I are on parallel plains or something! Yesterday everyone kept leaving work due to sickness. I got into the work zone, delayed lunch into a headache. Then I started feeling sick. Luckily, I had an acupuncture appointment already schedule and she took care of that headache (my last hunger headache turned into my first migraine which was beyond painful and upsetting).

She did some immune points too. Aunt Flo should be arriving soon but she's not hear yet, thank goodness.

My blood pressure is fine, but it felt like a huge RED ALERT in my body last month when this all happened. Is it the hormones? I don't know.

Your BP really is that high? Mine was high too a few years ago but I never felt any different.

I highly recommend deep relaxation and acupuncture, even though they are not what resolved my BP. It's always good to know how to relax.

I know! I want to relax, but they don't want me going to yoga if I stretch, even yin yoga is considered stretchy. I've never learned to mediate without a prior stretch, so that something I should learn. Also I don't want a massage during Flo. Acupunture? I'll have to find out who's good nearby ( ... )

So weird! You can do low impact cardio but not yoga when yoga has been proven in studies to lower blood pressure?

But I will say I don't do any strenuous yoga. That's why I like Hatha and stay away from anything labeled 'flow' or 'vinyasa'. And some of my classes are just deep relaxation with ten minutes of easy stretches first.

I think it's stress. I think mine went up when I was stressed. My endocrinologist tried so many different types of meds and it stayed high. I think it was stress for me and excess weight. Once I stopped worrying about it and lost 45lbs, I was fine. (I make is sound easy but it took a LONG time.)

Still it was hard. My doctor was so worries and the meds did little. Now I just keep my weight down and lie down to relax several times a week.

45 lbs! Congrats!

I've just lost 2 kg (less than 5 lbs) in the last 2 months -- boy, that was hard in itself.

I think they don't want me to aggravate my neck with the plow, headstands, and upside down poses. And stretching with high blood pressure can be tricky because it can raise it even more, and I assume, a heated room would raise it too.
