So its been a while since I've been here, and it probably had to do with the drop off of the BSG love here among the fandom and in my life. I will still have great affection for that show, but it no longer is part of my daily ritual. But it meant, I missed LJ and all the wonderful people here when I no stopped visiting.
I still don't know what I will be using LJ for, but I'm not willing to give it up yet. I especially feel that I would rather be here at LJ especially after I tried this week to again tryout Facebook -- and no, I just don't get FB: too intrusive, a bit of a marketing trap, and I guess I'm still an introvert, in RL or in FB. (Note to self: Don't LIKE anything.) I particularly feel like I cannot just wave my fan freak flag out and proud in front of my FB family and friends, cause well, they don't care and that's why I'm here in LJ in the first place.
So if I am no longer fan-girling BSG, what ought I be doing here? To be honest, I'm not sure I'm ready to fall back to that fangirl state for the sake of my time management. But friends, if we need something mutual to talk about: here's the stuff I am enjoying in TV and media:
Game of Thrones: Yup, I'm going mainstream. FYI, I have finished the books, but tell me your spoiler rules and I will follow.
I'm also must-watching Arrow, Hannibal, Orphan Black, Survivor.
Other shows: Grimm, Reign, Hart of Dixie, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Trophy Wife, Blacklist, and Castle. Sleepy Hallow, Justified, Masters of Sex were favorites of mine this past year.
I still like, but am behind, Good Wife, Reign, Bones, and Revenge.
Phew, that's a lot. Plus, I'm into the Marvel Movie Franchise and the only book series I 'm still actively re-reading are the Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and the Temeraire Series.
Also would Friends be interested in baking and yoga? Just wondering? Any recommendations of communities/journals I should follow?
Thanks!
