good, good, night
Good night tonight. Two days of absolute hell at work and I was able to leave it all there. Came home and assembled my new computer desk stand after much trouble. I headed out to the Rusty Nail for Deanna's b-day. Never been but holy cow was it packed. I think I got the last parking spot in a mile. Good times there...saw all the fav people...Jeff, Joel, Deanna, Chrissy, Laura, Jackie, Monica, DZ, Steve etc. Met some new folks....Andrew aka Jose, good ole El Camino Kevin Smith, Andy and others. There was a bad ass cover band. It was sick. The lead singer was straight up, no joke....Eric in about 20 years. Same style of clothing sporting a haircut Er had a few years back...great voice and the scariest part...SAME, EXACT stage presence. They both move the same way. It was eerie but kinda cool, like seeing into the future. Had a great time with all those folks as per usual. Its just really nice to walk into a group where everyone is so welcoming and excited to see you out. In the grand scheme of things I barely know these people. Yeah, we went to the same schools and lived in the same area but were in different cliques our whole lives. Amazing what cool people I was missing out on.
Ended up draggin Kevin and Steve out the bar. Gave them both rides home but not before a stop at coney. I apologize to Emily for the drunken retards I brought...obnoxious yes but fun! After graciously skirting "girlfriend" phone calls we made it to Kevin's where we found a bunch of drunk kids with their car stuck in a ditch. We helped for two minutes for posterity before I explained harsh reality....tow truck needed! Good luck fellas. Dropped Steve off and made it home myself safe and sound 3 hours after bar time. Some of those folks will be out for the Rosies, post birthday night tomorrow...should be a good time. A diverse mix of people for sure but a good time. I'm thankful for good friends...even if they are new. Never disappointed. Now I think its bed time. Ahhhhh so tired.
