The Juggling Girls of Tonga: one of the most fascinating articles I've read in a long time! It is traditional for the girls of Tonga (but not the boys) to learn to judggle--and to juggle darned well! Apparently it has to do with a myth about the goddess of the underworld...
This film looks absolutely hilarious (and rather adorable), and talk about an all-star cast! Too bad it looks like it's only coming out in theatres in Britain: we'll have to wait till it comes out on DVD!
Any HP fans out there miss the Potter news?
Speaking of fantasy fandom, Hobbit updates! Evangeline Lilly, of Lost fame, has been cast as a sylvan elf named Tauriel. Peter Jackson says the “name means ‘daughter of Mirkwood’". Actually, it literally means "daughter of the forest". I should know; I named a fanfic character Taurion once! (He was Legolas's older brother. :P ) There must be three million elves with the name Tauriel running around Mirkwood... lol
They have also posted the first official pictures from The Hobbit! Here, here and here. Bilbo!Marfreezy is SO ADORABLE! (and you can blame 221bee for my use of the name "Marfreezy".)
Tomorrow: dance class and hopefully working on my "Honor Amongst Thieves" story!
