whats happening in my world...
Many of you know that we have just recently moved out of Little Mexico!! Yay us!
I haven't sent out the mass email with our new address, sorry it's been a little crazy I'll be doing that shortly after this post, just a heads up the phone# is still the same!
The past 3-4 weeks have been rough on me, mostly emotionaly and mentaly, been a little depressed and the list of things I have had to worry about had been over whelming. No big suprize to some of you that know me well, I tend to take on a lot so that others don't, it's a switch and can't turn off in my head, thats how my brain funtions.
The house is starting to look like a house and not a storage closet of boxes and stuff, its beena pian to try and find thinds, no suprize...the funny thing is though, is that we have more space then what we know to do with!!
But I do like the fact that we don't live in a box anymore, I happy to say that even though were renting, we have a home in very nice neihborhood, I feel more independant and more free to do more with the place...like paint!!
What makes me get a little choked up is that I have a studio, a place I can go and close the door and be me and create...I've earned it. The room hasn't been set up yet, I still need to get a desk, another esle that can stay up and still not be in the way, and shelving/storage for all my stuff...in time it will happen hopfully in a few months it will be put together the way I want...I've always had this picture of me in my studio creating, not worrieing about taking up space somewhere else, people coming in and saying hi, and cranking out many drawings and paintings, the goal at some point is to do a showing and make a little cash, that would be nice.
Today my mom and I are going to Ikea!! YAY a dinning room table that will actually be used for what its made for!!
....who'd a thunked it huh?
I'll be getting more new fun stuff in the months to come, I really want to get a new couch/sectional set up and Ikea has a nice affordable sleep sofa we can put downstairs in the game rm, that way we have a guest area of some kind as well as a fuctional space.
I have a lot of ideas, I'm excited!!!
Another thing that I've had to realize is that we need a second car...in a few months I'm seriously looking into getting a SUV (yes yes I know the gas I know...) but I need to get to point A to point B, thats how I look at it, Shawn is fine with driving my car, he's warming up to it a lot more and its paid for. Im looking into a Hybrid SUV, been looking at the Saturn Vue Green Line, maybe the price will be more negotable by September/October hell if I can get a used one that would be great to, that happened with my Pontica, we'll see.
Jobs been a bit stressful with training but im getting better at it, its not a career, but with a few months or so into it, Im going to look for something else so that I can get off of shift work and have a normal work shift again, patience patience.....
