I feel like Helen is massively out of character. This is Helen Magnus. Are we really supposed to believe that she just sat back and watched the Holocaust? Seriously? Because in some meta sense all those people are "supposed" to die? And so she's completely passive and does nothing? It's all just complete fatalism? That's exactly the opposite of everything we've known about her so far -- that no matter what, no matter how the chips are down, Helen will try to do something. She'll try to fix it. She'll try to pull it out somehow. And we're supposed to not only buy that she just sits on her ass for a century, but that it's GOOD that she does?
Right! That's the biggest stumbling block I have (that and the fact twice she's pointed out that after 113 years of thinking about consequences, she didn't consider collateral damage). I would have preferred if she'd found a way down to Praxis and got herself put in stasis for a century.
I'm hoping whatever secret she's been keeping since she got back is big! ~fingers crossed~
I'm not sure they thought through what they would be doing to the show by having Helen pass through the century twice. We have to buy two premises

And of course he'd go into the machine for her.
