I was a bit confused, but I quickly picked up on what was going on. ;-D A lovely, if sad, little story. I love outsider views on the Sanctuary and its strangeness. Very beautifully done.

At first I thought the James stuff was a comparison, like "And then his FRIEND moved in..." ;-D But this was just as good.

I still want to know what the people who own the buildings across from Helen's Sanctuary think.

"Anything happen while I was on vacation, Ted?"
"One of the towers exploded, and the glass in all the windows on the east side shattered."

And the seriously weird company! No wonder the chick in Sanctuary For All tells John that she's "heard some stories!"
