i would just like to quote my theatre teacher for today in regards to plays. has nothing to do with anything but...
*describing the difference between reading a play and seeing it* "...The whole play took place outside, on a hill near a small pond. The main character is closing his story in an epilogue as the sun sets behind him, the colors blend together, fiery at first, then calm and cool as they begin to fade to black. As the sun is setting, the lights in the city come on, one by one by one, like the stars appear in the sky. The character ends his speech, takes one last look at the crown before him and darts towards the pond. A board bridge is suspended about an inch under the water, and the character runs across this bridge, appearing as if he is running across the water. He dissappears into the dense fog towards the middle of the lake and as he vanishes into what appears to be nothing, a single flare darts up from the fog and bursts in the sky. The flare burns out, and all is black again... After the speech is done, the play reads 'EXIT CHARACTER'"
