Might as well come clean

Ok, I'll admit it. I've been a real big Annasophia Robb fan after watching Bridge To Terabithia early last March. Leslie Burke is simply an amazing individual, charming me with her imaginative thoughts and naive words of wisdom (haha what an oxymoron). Annasophia's performance simply made it magical. So since there is love, there are fanarts :p

Well, I tried making Leslie 18 and legal in this pic instead of her 12 year old self in the movie. Notice the boobs and mid riff haha. Originally, the infamous enchanted rope to Terabithia was supposed to be there, but despite it being responsible for everything fantasy-ish going on in the movie, it also took Leslie away TTT__TTTT so I replaced it with a regular swing (which was available in the tree house in Terabithia - LOL! I TEH Geek) completely done in Photoshop 7, with a Wacom Graphire 2 (I want an Intuous =_=) and me old pc. 2-3 days on and off.

After doing a lil wikipedia-ing, I discovered why Leslie encountered such a fate in the movie and in the book. Apparently the author, Kathrine Paterson, was inspired by the friendship her son, David Paterson, had with a school friend, Lisa Hill, until tragedy had befallen upon Lisa when she was struck by lightning at a beach.

It's inspiring to know that such a moving story was based on something so real. I went into the cinema expecting kids stumbling into a fantasy world ala C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. But instead, I got something that's closer to my heart. And to be honest, I'm itching to find the book. Haha could this be my very first? God, I wanna know more about Lisa too and this tree that was planted in their school as a memorial for her.

The movie made me realize how precious friends and family are and that they can suddenly go away. From then onwards, whenever I get to spend time with them, I'll make the best of it.

OK, a lil emo there; So I drew this a few days earlier for portrait studies:

Yeaa~ Annasophia again haha ^^;;;; Nopes, no paint-overs. Just referencing here and there. Can't exactly say I've grasp a good understanding of the human feature. Sooner or later I'm gonna hafta start on anatomical studies if I ever want a good portfolio ala Disney animators. But for now, I'll stick to portraits of beautiful people haha.

Speaking of beautiful people; I was fanboying so badly a week back when I saw THIS!

All my efforts of refreshing Aya's Official Website have finally prevailed! Unfortunately for that, May 23rd seems so far away now 0_0 And on May 2nd her Live DVD will be released. Oh please, please let it be there in HMV Singapore when I get there in June >.<

More on J-pop; Ok, I'm a lil late at pimping this but my no.1 jpop-princess cum halyu released her latest PV titled Sweet Impact!

Haha remember that Amidala/Leia BoA pic I was pimping. That was from BoA's recent Fasio CM and it had Sweet Impact playing in the BG. Gosh that CM, was released months back. But instead of hair buns, we get Smooth Criminal themes for BoA's new PV. What can I say? Jacko has a HUGE influence on us all. He even went to the point of copying himself LOLZ. But BoA does it lovely here. Sure, its a modified copy but it still looks damn good!

Man, there's still plenty of hot Jpop material I wanna pimp but I guess I'll save that for later. For now, it's DVD burning time. 60GBs worth of PVs is taking it's toll on my HD 0_0
