Stranger danger

I gather all my crap and still half out of it leave for work this morning. I always walk the same route, the fence has a gate like hole close by my apartment which saves me from walking across to the other side of the complex and back tracking to go anywhere. This morning I walk across the parking lot, down the sidewalk, and I actually got like a foot from the fence and noticed the hole was gone. I just stood there a moment blinking at a patch of clean fresh fence, since I was still half asleep I think it took a second to sink in. Then I sighed and walked around the other way. When the office opened I called to ask what gives with the patch. I was told it's for our own security to keep strangers out. Ok, if I lived in a gated community I might buy that, but I don't! I asked her if she realized all the "strangers" have to do is walk around if they really want to break in that all this does is inconvience residents who live there. She responded "This makes it safer for everyone". I responded I think it's a little sad if she actually believes the half baked notion that putting a fence on only 1 side will keep anyone out who truely wants to break into someplace. I also added that they should have atleast notified residents they were putting it up since having to walk arounf could have caused people to miss bussed (didn't me) and be late for work. She said they were going to send out a notice today. At this point I was irritated and told her it won't do a rats ass good now, they already screwed everyone who walks that way this morning and hung up on her.

I am glad I never said my name or apt # when I called, I'm sure she is hating me right now!

Even when I'm in a good mood the bitch rules in the AM!
