One Year and Its Been So Long
So I'm doing this. So much has happened in my life since last I wrote. I think I had a lot of turmoil and angst which fed my muse as I would write but much has turned my life upside down. In a way I suppose you can say I'm turning my back on something I love, or ignoring it, but is it a sin if its unintentional and for someone i love? Regardless I have missed writing, i have at least returned to drawing/painting. In the past year (in case anyone wishes to know), I loved someone dearly someone that loved me in return, someone I could have possibly seen myself with, but I ruined that with few lines "you talk as if we're a couple". Shortly after that it seemed as if i purposely centered my attention on someone i knew i could never have as more than a friend. At this point a year long dispute was coming to a close that had me being asked nicely to leave my parents' house.
It was then I got in touch with my fiance. See we had dated before many many years ago when we were teenagers but circumstances split us apart we talked at the most twice a month and on birthdays, to see how the other was doing. However the last time we spoke as friends we didn't end the conversation with a "talk to you later" as was our usual, we kept talking and talking. We found a connection that was never really severed. One day all of a sudden i remembered a promise long made when we were forced to split, her being younger than i said "i don't care! I'll wait for you! Till your 18! We can be together again!" however she didn't think putting me through that was wise and we ended despite my protest. Time passed we stayed in touch but never close.
She would say its destiny, I say its pure chance, we got back together. So it does seem i waited and then some, seeing how i never actually did date anyone in that time and in that one year i am no longer living with my parents and engaged. Two things take up my entire time, my fiance, and my work. So i apologize, mainly to myself, for ignoring my outlets but i am happy and in love. I am striving to write more hopefully i can accomplish the feat with such tantalizing distractions.
