writing again
So I've been writing again. Or more specifically, as the two year mark of The Assassin / In Darkness We Follow,
I've figured that I'm due to work on it again. The major difference
right now is that I'm not actually working on the original story that
resulted in the creation of the world. Instead I'm working on some
other parts. I'm working transferring the descriptions of the actual
world onto paper. The other piece is that I'm working on character
development. Specifically, tracing Jake's family, but also working on
other characters that have appeared. In my mind, that largely means
developing Janice (his half-sister) and Sarah (his mother). With luck,
I figure that I can somehow manage to get Sarah's story onto paper. But
that goes off of my basic assumption that her entire story resides
somewhere in my head. Unfortunately, I am yet to discover all of it; I
just have bits and pieces. I just hope that one day I will actually be
able to publish this story. I figure it's a goal, and something to work
towards. That, and I suppose that I can always dream -- achieving is a
different story.
