G'eh?

So I'm watching the cute little star-fielded "The End" you get after beating FF6. I missed that game a lot, and it always makes me sad and happy to see the end of it. I miss playing Final fantasy games that can give you this feeling. I also realize that this game really shaped the way I see and create fantasy, it was all in the characters and how they interacted in the setting that created it's plot. No destiny boy picking up an epic sword and claiming his birthright, but a group of characters trying to do what they can with whatever they've got. I'm tempted to try and play through the game sometime using the "natural magic" stipulations. No esper magic, just what people can naturally learn.

In any case: I'm sad that it's over, and sad that there won't be another final fantasy that good but I know there's always going to be something there akin to it.

I want to write more Shadows of Gaia now, that's what it really makes me realize.

Side note: Bouncy squad took it to Kefka, all the way. Terra, Celes, Edgar, and Mog, all with dragoon boots and dragon horns killed Kefka almost solo. On one of her short stops on the battlefield Terra got insta-killed /just/ before the last form and Locke got brought in to cast quick on himself and deliver the final blows. :b
