My main hard drive died last night. I had to give it the Format.
I lost all my music, art, and writing and my backups aren't even relatively up to date.
I succeeded in ressurecting the computer though. My back-up hard drive had windows on it for a while while I worked on recovering what I could before the format.
I got windows back up, got the drivers in, had a fight with my computer for a while to make it understand that I wasn't using dailup, and had a close call with it crashing during the giant string of windows updates were going on. I'm getting some of my programs back now that things seem to be settling down and I must say... after a format your computer runs a lot faster.
In any case, I have to rebuild a few things, like my music collection but it shouldn't be too bad, I'm more happy that I still have a computer when a few times I was told that my hardrive was probably fubar.
I'm going to install WoW now, see you saturday... @_@
