Truffles has been adopted, so say hello to Stevey!

Stevey is an absolutely gorgeous medium-large brindle Shepherd mix available for adoption at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
(Seriously, the picture simply doesn't do him justice. This guy is pretty enough to run for Governor of Alaska.)
He's a somewhat reserved dog at first meet, but he definitely warms up once the petting starts!
One of the things I really love about this big baby is how protective he is of me when the two of us take walks together. If anyone else comes along on the trail,
he immediately moves in front of me and stands by very attentively until he's sure the danger has passed. I suspect that Stevey would make an excellent watch dog.
Stevey is a high-energy boy who would ideally like to have a yard to play in, or an owner who would like to run (or rollerskate) and play lots of exciting games with him.
He knows basic commands and is very eager to please his human companions--once he finishes giving them sloppy kisses, of course. :)
Stevey gets along well with some dogs, but should be carefully introduced whenever this is a goal. Again, he's not at all jealous; just a bit wary of newbies.
