I can finally ride a bike!!!!!!!!!
Click to viewSuccess! Today when I went for my daily bicycle practice with Stephen he let go and started jogging next to me. I didn't even notice until he said, "I haven't been holding on for the past minute or so." Seriously ya'll, I was so happy that I cried. (Just a little. ;-P) I've wanted to ride a bike as long as I can remember, and for the past five years or so I've felt a lot of discouragement, thinking that I was "too old" to learn. Stephen is the king of patience.
Gosh, I really don't know what to say. I am so happy. Not knowing how to ride a bike is something that I've always been embarrassed about, and now that I know how to and I feel that wonderful sense of freedom as I glide down the street, I feel a little pang of grief over the years I spent in ignorance of this totally amazing experience. Well, might as well make up for lost time with lots of bike rides to Mannyunk! Oh, and by posting more videos, of course ;-D
