Slogged my way through 500 words so far today. We were friggin' dead at work, so I hid out in the archives room (read: shithole in the basement where we keep rotting old journals and about seventeen boxes of ridiculously old, ugly-ass Christmas decorations), sitting on the step stool in the last aisle, hunched over my notebook. I finally got all the stupid noise in my brain to shut up long enough to put together a decent paragraph. Goddamned miracle.
