Rant.
So after like 5 months here I've decided I dislike England. Well, not England per se, just their schooling system. It fucking sucks.
I've basically fucked my GPA unless Linfield does something with the grades they get back. I'm going to be having a lot of conversations with the International office, Dean of Students, my advisors and basically anyone who will listen, because this is complete bullshit.
I am incandecent with rage. Truely, they will feel the wrath of my righeous fury if this is not fixed.
First year course (freshman year basically, intro course) politics, I got a 49 on the essay (that's out of 70 fyi). A 49 because I didn't cite. I didn't cite? Ex-fucking-cuse me. I did so. I used the MLA style citing, they had never seen it before and required Harvard style (which I'd never heard of, then they gave me looks like "It's in your country how have you never heard of it?" Do they KNOW how many different citing styles there are? Way too fucking many.). But here's the thing that gets me. I had asked the seminar leader (a TA basically) if there was any special citing style they required and she had said, "no go ahead and use whatever."
So basically my grade was fucked because she either didn't understand the question, or forgot or lied to me. I went to the Professor to plead my case but he wanted a published political science article written in MLA style. THEY DON"T WRITE POLITICAL ARTICLES IN MLA, THEY USE APA. But I was told that I could use whatever style I wanted and MLA was easy and I didn't feel like looking up APA.
It's my word against this TAs and guess who's going to win that argument? NOT ME. So yeah. what. the. fuck. I am seriously pissed off. Linfield better fucking be able to do something, inflate my grade or make it pass fail because I will not allow some stupid English bitch FUCK over my GPA and my chances of getting into a good grad school.
God fucking dammit. Why didn't I stay home? This is SO not worth it. Motherfuckers. I fucking HATE this country.
