When I used to live in Orlando and attended UCF, I'd occasionally visit small art galleries or attend a studio open house. One of these had the creepy/charming artwork of this couple, the Whipples. Oh wow... in regards to the paintings on their website I definitely respond more to John Whipple's work... it's so powerful. But I love the photography by Lynn! I like the way she uses 'found objects' in her work, too... it reminds me of FOUND magazine!

Then I am glad they create those things, so that a variety of individuals can appreciate different facets of their work! I did not like his paintings OR her photographs LOL! There you go - that's aesthetic opinion for you :)

And OMG @ "flaps". There is no way that is to or from a grandma and had to be added later...right?!

I'm leaning towards Lynn myself. When you first mentioned them, I immediately googled them at work and found plenty of work place inappropriate things, even with safe search on! Heh

Her paintings are much better than his, in my opinion, but his sculptures more than make up for it. I wish it were better conveyed online as the mood is quite different in person.

And are you serious about the NSFW? LOL, sorry about that! I'll have to check when I get home!
