Okay, so this post may be a little late, but who cares!!
SUPERNATURAL IS BACK BABY!!
This past Thursday, Supernatural came back from it's 5 week hiatus with the episode "Hunted." It was awesome! The secret that was whispered to Dean by their father was finally revealed! But damn, as many questions as it did answer, there are now so MANY more!
Let's see, where to get started.
I guess the most obvious..
1) The Secret
Dean: "Before Dad died he told me something...something about you"
Sam: "What? Dean, what did he tell you?"
Dean: "He said that he...wanted me to watch out for you...to take care of you"
Sam: "He told you that a million times"
Dean: "Nah, this time was different..."
Dean: "He said that I had to...save you"
Sam: "Save me from what?"
Dean: "He just said that I had to save you, that nothing else mattered and if I couldn't I..."
Sam: "You what Dean?"
Dean: "I'd have to kill you"
Sam pauses shocked
Dean: "He says that I might have to kill you Sammy"
Sam: "Kill me? What the hell is that supposed to mean?!"
Dean: "I don't know"
Sam: "I mean, he must've had some kind of reason for saying it right? Did he know the Demon's plans for me? Am I supposed to go dark side or something?...What else did he say Dean?!"
Dean: "Nothing, that's it I swear"
Now, it didn't hit me about how big that actually was. I kept reading how it wasn't what everyone was expecting. I didn't feel like that, but I didn't think it was that huge either. That is until I read a review of the episode that gave me some perspective. It was very huge! Can you imagine something like that? That was a lot of weight to be put on Dean's shoulders. Imagine what he must of felt like in "Croatoan" when they thought Sam was infected with the demonic virus? Does it surprise anyone that Dean reacted that way?
Something has been bothering me and I know I am not the only one. John HAD to have known more than what Dean said. So the question is, did John not reveal all he knew before he died or does Dean know more than he is letting on? Only time will tell..
2) A War is Coming
I have to say, I saw that coming. After many years of watching Buffy and Angel, you just knew that was coming. Only this is different. I am particularly interested in who the Demon is getting ready to fight. I just can't see the fight, the war, being fought against the human race.We know the Demons can possess people so why does it need these"chosen" people.
Hell, if it wanted to destroy the human race, couldn't it just posses some like government military official and launch missiles everywhere or some messed up thing like that? And let's not forget the possessed humans and superhuman strong and don't die easily and have all sorts of nifty powers.
So after all that. The war can't be against the human race. Or maybe it is, who knows? It just doesn't make sense to me if it was.
I could understand if the Demon and his fellow demons were planning like an invasion. But they said war.
Although, I seem to be the only person who is even thinking about the war.
3) Ava
Who didn't love Ava? She was awesome! She was believable. She was funny! I really liked her! I was so hoping we would see more of her, but after that ending, who knows. I really hope they don't leave that mystery unsolved. What happened to her? I HAVE TO KNOW. Why was she taken? Did she kill her fiance? Was she possessed all along?
4) The Roadhouse
I love that we are seeing more of this place. I think it's awesome! I love Ellen, and yes, I love Jo. You people need to get over it. It's been said that Jo is not going to involved with Dean so you can all back off now and put your petty jealousies aside. Anyways, it turns out there is a "spy" in the Roadhouse who told Gordon where he could find Sam. And as usual, everyone think it was Jo. Come on people. Think a little. Gordon said he has contact of his own at the Roadhouse and that's how he knew where to look for Sam. Now Ellen said that she hasn't spoken to Jo for weeks and gets a postcard every now and then. IT COULD NOT OF BEEN JO!!
So who could it be there? Ash? God I hope not. As weird as he is, I like him. It could of been another hunter who eavesdropped on the conversation. Which, speaking of, will Gordon be the only hunter to go after Sam? Do the boys now have to worry about them now as well as the supernatural things they hunt?
This was such a huge episode! And according to Mr. Kripke, there is another HUGE reveal at the end of the season! Anyone else really excited? I can't wait to see what happens next!
Still with me? I know that was a lot to read and I swear, I am almost done. I just wanted to add that this week, Tuesday at midnight to be exact, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is being released! OMFG I CAN'T WAIT!!
