This girl Alex that I used to half-know in Albany posted this on her Myspace blog. She has no idea I'm posting this, so please don't tell her... but I had to pass it on because it is too right on.
I love NYC, but sometimes I get a little soft for the ole' Albs. Here is why, courtesy of Alex:
Why Albany is good to me: drinks are cheap. my best friend lives here. because people have small amounts of fashion sense. because we dominate the juke box. the cab drivers tell me jokes. food in the fridge at home is abundant. my bed is large. people are either openly prentenious or not at all. most boys have terrible tatoos. i was told once that albany has alot of crazy/senile people, trannies, and alcoholics. all of which is true. this is nice in such a small cozy city. happy new year albany, i love you.
