the ones that didn't get away
Today, I fully appreciate being away at college, and here is the reasoning. I returned home for the weekend to visit my dad as well as some friends back in Wolfeboro. Saw Rissa, harassed Ricky at work, stopped and hung out with Phil for a few hours. Afterwards, I met up with Rissa and Ricky again and ended up at the municipal parking lot with Mike, Karyn, Jimmy and others. After smoking copious amounts of the green stuff at Meehan's, we headed back to municipal after dropping Mike's mini-van (failing brakes and all) back at his house. This is where things get interesting. I behaved myself and Karyn and I talked civilly for the first time in many months. Brad and Mike on the other hand had deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts. Mike is currently dating Karyn, and Brad, well, they fucked or something not too long ago. Whether this is the reason Mike has a problem with him remains to be seen. Anyway, they had and exchange and egged each other on, fisticufffs ensued. I thought the whole thing was pretty hilarious until Brad decided to push Rissa and such. For ten minutes we held this absolute waste of perfectly good ejaculate back - drunk psychopaths are annoying. Fed up, I finally grabbed a bat from my car hoping that the sight of three feet of aluminum would calm the kid down, but OH NO. After this ridiculous exchange, I am forever grateful that I made it out of that town. it's a great place, and it brought out the best of me living there, but some of my friends (Ricky, Rissa and Karyn) need to get the hell out of there before their future becomes at pathetic as Mike and Brad's testosterone and drug fueled playground scuffle. The three of them are so much better than what that town is making them become. In other news, I and the rest of the Remains of Troy crew will be spending a portion of Christmas break in sunny Delray Beach, Florida where we will be recording a four song EP and doing a photo shoot.
