Adorable Animals
Man! I wish I had access to my computer so that I could download the videos and pictures I've got of Blossom, Oreo, and Ruby. The other day Samantha and I were hanging out in the living room and all of a sudden our animals went wild. So of course I grabbed my digital camera and took some video and pictures of it.
Ok, a little back story. Oreo seems to have grown accustomed to Blossom. She'll come and lay with my when Blossom is laying with me too. She also tolerates Blossom coming over and sniffing her. Ruby on the other hand absolutely HATES Blossom. Everytime she's even in the same room with Blossom she'll start growling and if Blossom is anywhere is a close proximity to her she'll hiss and bat at her. The worst part is that Blossom thinks Ruby is playing with her, so she continues to go over to her and make Ruby angry.
So this particular day Samantha and I were watching the animals and Blossom decided to go "play" with Ruby. So here is Blossom running around trying to get Ruby to chase her and poor Ruby is sitting on the back of the chair hissing and batting at Blossom who just doesn't get it. Samantha and I were waiting for Ruby to pounce on Blossom. She kept looking like she was going to, but didn't quite get there. The video of the two of them is hilarious. Samantha and I just kept laughing. It was quite the site. Another funny piece is that the whole time this is going on Oreo is hanging out on the bookcase just behind the chair watching the shenanigans that are going on. It was great. A couple times Ruby even retreated to the bookcase and Blossom followed, but Oreo just sat there with a look that plainly said "what are you two doing?" It was very fun and very entertaining. Luckily Ruby is no worse for the wear, she definitely holds her own against Blossom. She's a tough kitty.
Other than that things are ok. I'm still working on getting that second job. I'm even thinking of calling the temp agency that I was with and letting them know that I'm looking for another job. Maybe they'll be able to find me something. We'll see. Samantha decided that she really doesn't like the insurance job. Especially because some of the information they gave her was untrue. Like stuff about when and how she would get paid for what work she did. It's kinda complicated and I don't really understand it. But she's decided to quit. Luckily she'll be able to come back to the Courtyard and she's looking for a second job as well. So fun times for both of us! But yeah, that's life here in the Quad Cities. I hope all is well with everyone else!
