Wow! It's been a while since I've had time to write anything. As of right now my poor little phone is dead. The SIM card is bad :(. So if anyone has been trying to get in touch with me I'm sorry. Hopefully today after work I'll be able to get it all taken care of. We'll see what happens when I go to the Cingular store. Hopefully they'll be nice to me and won't laugh at me. That would be nice.
Other than that things have been good. Christmas was nice. Unfortunately my presents from my parents didn't get to me in time, but that's ok. It was still fun to talk to them and listen while they opened their presents. Christmas Eve I went to the 8:00 service at St. Paul which is the one led by the Youth Choir. That was fun to see. And absolutely beautiful to listen to in the new Sanctuary. Plus I got the chance to see some people from Camp Shalom that I had worked with so that was nice. I was invited to the Nuernberger's house on Christmas Day. So I went over there and had a linner, (lunch/dinner) with them and then hung out there until it was time for me to go to work at 9:00. That was very fun.
New Year's was very quiet. I worked from 9-7. Didn't watch the countdown, but was offered some champagne by some of the people here for the Obama campaign. I had to refuse unfortunately, but they gave me some Sparkling Cider instead. It was completely dead here on New Year's unfortunately, but that's ok. I didn't feel much like celebrating anyway.
Last Sunday at church I got the chance to talk to both Jacob Marty, and much to my surprise, Nick Borcherding. Jacob is Pastor Marty's son. It was nice to check in with him and see how his first year at college is going. The neat thing was that he came up to me, which made me feel good. It showed that he WANTED to talk to me, which is always a nice feeling. Then I've been thinking about Nick quite a bit because he's in he Marines and I didn't really know what was going on with him and hoping that I would get the chance to see him. So I was waiting around chatting with some people at church and in walks Mr. Borcherding! It was so good to see him. I got to catch up with him and learn about how things are going with him. Apparently he is at Palm Desert military base, or something like that, and he is shipping over to Iraq at the end of January. So now I'll have someone else to worry about. But it was so nice to get the chance to talk to him and hang out with him some before he went to the 11:45 service. And I'll hopefully get to see him this Sunday too before he leaves.
So yeah, some fun and exciting things have happened in the last couple of weeks. Things are good. Samantha passed her insurance liscensing test. So she'll now be able to start training for her new job. Yay for her! And other than things are just moving along. I hope all is well with all my faithful readers.
