Las night I recorded "Windowlicker" onto the video track of a VHS tape. When I played back the recording, the track was cut up into little speed-warped pieces, each separated by several seconds of silence. The silence-ridden audio sounded pretty good, but in the vein of time compression I've been working with lately (e.g. Chirpin' Hard, The Beatles discography, artie.zip.mp3), I decided to remove all the silences, reducing Aphex Twin's original 6:08 track to a jumbled 2:16.
