im bored right now so im posting on here. i know i never do, its been forever, but like i said, bored right now. i shouldn't turn on mtv or mtv2, it makes me boil and steam. the mainstream music is mostly garbage guts, as has always been the case. the indie music is increasingly garbage guts. just saw a strokes video (get haircuts, new clothes, also quit your band. also DO NOT make another TRON style rotoscoped video) followed by a jet video (get haircuts, new clothes, less pretense) and now a white stripes video (the hardest button to buh-en...and STOP wearing all red and or white clothes. its dumb. and how did meg white not learn to play drums for shit with all the playing they must have done over the past few years? christ.) uhm ... i feel like my ranting should continue because i am still full of venom, but maybe i should jsut turn the channel? mmmmm... at least POD is hosting the show. retards. cut OFF your dreadlocks.
whoa i am really sorry. this wasnt supposed to be a music hating diatribe but when you watch tv these things happen. right before this i did watch part of a movie called Sabretooth, starring john rhys davies, aka pepperoni, aka gimli son of gloin. this was a terrible movie and featured THE worst cgi sabretooth tiger i have ever seen. and the only one, too, which makes it more of a crowning moment.
last night rebekah made fun of me for watching the last half of an episode of "tremors: the series" and i dont know why. ok, ok, i know why, it was a terrible, terrible, program. michael gross is the only cast member of the somewhat ok original tremors movie starring kevin bacon. family ties, indeed. how the mighty have fallen. i think i said that once this week already in reference to michael mcdonald's mci commercial. then again, were michael mcdonald or michael gross really ever all that mighty? thats up for debate.
i interrupt this whole thing to say that there is now a puddle of mud(d?) video on, and i can't even begin to type my vitriol on the matter.i can only say that this band is spectacular in their multiple failures on multiple levels. wow.
whats next.... i give up, thats what. new channel, and/or no more tv.
ok, let it be known that the ONLY reason i am going to stop typing about my hatred for things is that the battery on my laptop is almost dead.
also just so its known that i dont hate EVERYTHING, things in media i like this week are: ted leo, protastatic, chavez, love actually, harry potter trailer, stephen king's wizard and glass, microsoft office 2003, digidesign pro tools le (especially),and mr show seasons 1 and 2 dvd.
