[Final Day] Court

You begin to hear the sound of a bell tolling. It is quite insistent-quiet at first, then gradually getting louder. Depending on where you are, you'll notice that only those involved in the case are able to hear the bell: it seems to be within your head. You feel a draw back to the Embassy-a gentle tug at first, then a pull

There are demons standing on either side of an enormous set of double doors, barring entrance for the time being. There is a clock face set into the doors: it's hard to read, but seems to be indicating an indeterminable amount of time before the court is actually called to session.

The clock chimes, noisy and discordant, the doors of the courtroom creaking open slowly. As soon as they're open far enough to admit a person, Baal-Berith pokes his head out, dressed in a new fabulous outfit with ruffles and fur.

"Hiii~ ♫ Quick, quick, come on in! Up the aisle, to the left, I'll show you! ♥"

You know, I wish I could say this was the first time I've been in court without my trousers. Alas.

"You and me both, honey," though at least he is wearing hotpants today.

As your side of the bench fills up, other demons seem to be filing in silently from the main doors, taking seats in various balconies, or near the back of the room. A door from the back of the room opens as well, and a six-foot-plus demon with a lionlike mane of hair and curled red horns strides firmly in, metal wings clacking but barely visible from where they're folded against her back.

She gives the entire group one long, searching look. Behind her, a familiar demon in a slim low-cut powersuit comes in, along with a single-file line of crows.

Baal-Berith wiggles his fingers at the tall leonine demon. "Evening, Val! Let's do our best today! I know you always do!! ♥" His smile shows some teeth, but at least he also nods politely to the demons who come in after her.

[The Defendants]

Lucia, Bastien, Tristan, and the Sword are brought in last: Lucia and Bastien are wearing light shackles, but are otherwise unbound, though Lucia looks uncomfortable and alarmed by the shadowy guards marching them to their seats. Tristan is wearing a steel collar and is bound by the wrists as well, though he looks pretty easygoing about it and winks at the lot of you. The Sword is raging and ragged and heavily manacled, with guards on either side.

The Sword -- well, it's always hard to tell where he's looking but his head tilts a little as he passes you and his smile sharpens such as if looks could kill, really.

One of the Crow climbs up on the dias, clearing its throat. "Please rise for the Honorable Count Andromalius."

You've met this guy before-at least some of you have. He looks much the same as always, gliding to the bench and taking a seat, facing the court sternly.
