It depends on how much it is and how long I have until the trial. If it is several volumes long, I'll focus on penal law.

It's not important. In any case, I would like to familiarize myself with the procedures and the laws the defendants supposedly broke. And if there are any previous instances of humans having brought to Hell for a trial before for similar crimes, I would like to familiarize myself with those cases as well.
