Could we get them into separate rooms until they calm down?

I've been keeping Azrael in my room. I was hoping I could get him to accept that Rincewind wasn't dinner though. It's not working well...

Sadly it doesn't work that way. He needs to understand Rincewind is dominant here, and not part of the food chain. I've been trying to put him up on a shelf, above Azrael's perch, but he just runs the second Azrael looks at him.

I think it would be hard to get most cats to stay put then. Even if they didn't spook as easily as this little guy.

[She keeps the scritching up, because she's terribly fond of the little guy]

Hm. I wonder if there's some other way. I don't want something to happen on accident.

Maybe it'll get better when he's a bit bigger. Might make him look less like prey.
