RIP Grendel Travis - Jan 9, 2003 to Jan 13, 2010
Today my husband and I had to put our beautiful Grendel-Pup to sleep. He had developed a spinal lesion at the base of his spine that caused paralysis in his hind legs. His symptoms started on his 7th birthday and within 4 days we had to put him down.
Grendel was a hyperactive, loving, silly ham bone and spoiled brat to the core. We are so happy to have had him in our lives for the last seven years. I know that it hurts now, but the pain is worth all the joy and love he brought to our lives. No one was able to resist loving Grendel once they got to know him (usually within the first five minutes). He was such a great dog, a bit thick-headed at times, but a loving and faithful companion.
Goodbye, Grendel. We love you and will miss you always.
