Oh, ouch. >.<. For the record, you really can't tell you've only seen season one. You've got Ryan - all of them, but Ryan especially, who even though I watched the entire show was the hardest character for me to understand, and the most rewarding because of it, but at the same time...was the one I identified with most, in a way - down just right. Especially here - his voice flat and like she remembered it being that whole year after he'd walked away from the car like he was still alive, still whole - and here - "I get that you care more about your fucking figure than you do about how Seth would feel if he knew you were slowly killing yourself," - and the fact that he didn't tell Seth he already knew when Seth called him, didn't tell him at all, knew that was Summer's decision. The fact that he came as soon as Seth called.

Oh, and Summer. Somehow she's still so strong, still so Summer throughout this. And Seth, he just breaks my heart. ;____

And then Ryan's face changed, and Summer didn't know the expression, not really, but it was one he'd gotten a lot around Marissa, and sure, she had loved her best friend, but most of Ryan's expressions around Marissa had been concerning the fucking mess that Marissa had been. Summer didn't like having it turned on her, not one bit.

SUMMERRRRRRRR. RYANNNNNNNNNNN. Oh, good BOYS, they will take CARE of her, Ryan will HELP Seth learn how.

I've never seen the show, but man, this was another one where you made me care.

she could feel it sticking to her digestive tract, heavy and complex, and in the end she gave in, not even noticing the burn of her throat for the lightness in the rest of her.
