Yet another reason to hate people...
I read this in an email from the HRC ("Human Rights Campaign") today, and it made me really sad and really angry.
Last month, the constitutional amendment to ban marriage equality for same-sex couples was reintroduced in the Senate, with the full support of the President.
Last week, conservative leaders and the Secretary of Education attacked PBS for including families headed by same-sex couples in videos that introduce children to diversity in American society. The message? "GLBT families are unsuitable for children to know about, or for taxpayer-funded programming to represent."
Why can't people just accept others? Why can't people just be open-minded, and less petty?
Ugh..anyway...
I have a really sore throat today. It feels all scratchy. :( School's boring, the show is going well, and I'm still alone...but that's okay. (At least, it's okay today...I don't know about tomorrow.) ;)
