Samir Nasri has been named French Footballer of the Year, finishing ahead of Chelsea’s Florent Malouda with Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in third.

Nasri wins French Footballer award
Samir Nasri has been named French Footballer of the Year.
The midfielder has been in fantastic form for Arsenal with 12 goals in 21 appearances this season and topped the France Football poll.
Nasri was a surprise omission from Raymond Domenech’s World Cup squad last summer but has now regained his place under new coach Laurent Blanc and was instrumental in Les Bleus' 2-1 win over England at Wembley in November.
He finished ahead of Chelsea’s Florent Malouda with Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in third.
