The fair was last weekend. I'm sure you all know that. Anyway, I saw Jesley; she looked tough. You don't know Jesley, so don't feel bad. I also saw Jane. She's the woman who used to cut my hair. Since I last saw her, I've permed it, cut it, bleached it, bleached it again, dyed it, dyed it again, had it fixed in sioux city, and then cut again. All of this was in a period of a couple months, so my hair was pretty well fried. So I see her at the fair and she says something along the lines of, "Oh! You cut your hair! You colored your hair. You permed your hair...?" I think I heard the disappointment elevate with each sentence. I like Jane and the way she cuts my hair. But, by golly, when you put a bunch of girls together and they get bored... hair gets damaged. That's the lesson of the summer.

The other lesson of the summer? Follow the rules that parents and children reluctantly agree on. It's easier. Parents don't care if you CHOOSE to stay out later. They also think you feel pressured to stay out later, and they think you think your friends won't like you if you don't stay out late. Libby knows this is not the case. Libby is pretty sure that the person she has been spending a lot of time with would be perfectly content to sit at his computer or hang out with other people, so Libby feels no pressure. So Libby knows it's easier, but Libby also doesn't lie unless someone's life is at stake. So when Libby's parents are out of town and they call to ask what time she got home, Libby is going to say three even though they wouldn't know if she had lied and said 2 like they had agreed upon.

However, Libby also knows that people go back to school soon. Libby also has to go back to school soon. Libby is going to check the hours at Primebank... Why is Libby never satisfied. Why? Libby is looking at schools to transfer to in the fall... Gosh. As if any school would even accept Libby this late into the summer. Libby will start looking at graduate schools soon. She will also start making college visits. Libby wishes Black Hills State was a good school. She's not sure it's not. Libby doesn't like to use the internet to find information.

Seriously people... since all of 6 people read this... if you know of anyone with space to rent... please give me their number. Thanks
