On New Year’s Eve 2024, Russia unleashed a staggering onslaught, deploying an unprecedented 90 drones against Ukraine.

As per reports from the @air.force.ua.official, this marked a record in the deployment of Shahed attack UAVs by the enemy.

Additionally, the Russians launched a barrage of four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Kharkiv region, along with three X-31P and one X-59 missiles from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

The incursion triggered air alerts across most regions of Ukraine, raising alarms along the drones’ path.

Thankfully, robust air defenses were active across all regions. The Defense Forces swiftly responded to the aerial assault, employing mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft, and anti-aircraft missile units from the Air Force.

Thanks to their valiant efforts, an unprecedented number of enemy attack UAVs were destroyed - 87 out of 90 Shahed-136/131 drones.

One person was killed🕯️🙏😢 in Odesa as a result of a drone attack, and three people were injured and hospitalized.
