I start my new job this weekend. it is yummy coffee and beer at church and market; the cafe at cafe du nord. I feel somewhat legit for working on market street. Dirty and filthy market street.
Lately it has dawned on me how much of a digital artist I am, and its insane how much the world has turned in that direction. Is it very zen of all of us that we are creating art that does will not manifest if there are no computers, no internet? It only exsists for the moment you turn on the computer, or floating in the airwaves, and then poof it is gone. How will internet art and images be archived in the future? Sometimes it is stressful to think all these things I create are just little microbits, easily crushed or corrupted! A world that is the easiest to see, but the easiest to erase. I feel like I need to constantly check where I am standing in a historical technological timeline and why I am standing there. It'll all turn out good, it think its best to work cyclically where we can make digital art, but then real touchable art based off the digital, and then digital based off the real touchable.
Touchably yours,
L
