vaccinations and santa claus

This post from An Ergodic Walk reminds me that I have always wanted to do a video project on vaccinations.

You know how they have those crazy math professor videos every Xmas "proving" that Santa Claus couldn't exist because he would have to travel faster than light speed?

I want to make one of those crazy math professor videos about vaccination, and why an individual's choice *does* affect their community's susceptibility. Surely if every local news station airs some version of the crazy math professor santa routine, there must be a way of making SIRS models TV-appealing.

These Santa Claus routines are ridiculously low-tech. They usually feature some math dude (yes, a guy) with uncombed (but groomed) hair, wearing a lab coat (because all scientists and mathematician nerds dress the same?), talking really fast (a signature move of the crazy smart), using a white board. He doesn't even need the futuristic giganto-iPad-like technology that voting coverage needs. Presumably this is all the technology that would be needed to talk about the SIRS model.
