With the economic crisis hitting California K-12 and talk of a national math curriculum(*), I'm curious to see what states -- if any -- will rise in the next 5-10 years as leaders in public education initiatives in math, and if California will remain a trendsetter. Right now, the two most influential states are California and Texas.
