bah.

malcolm is less dead than deadshot, who had an explosive IN HIS HEAD. i'm sure, should they need him in the future, he will pop up again.

and/or... he's really only as dead as everybody else.

which... despite my lack of suspension of disbelief... was one HOLY #($*%&($#*%& of a moment!

and omg.... YES. you take all deadly weapons away from, and immobilize, THE GUY WITH THE DEAD MAN SWITCH THAT'S GONNA KILL EVERYBODY AND BLOW UP EVERYTHING! i don't care how much you need to hug your kid! (your estranged kid who barely knows you, come on. though it was a traumatic experience.)

ugh, you're right. totally knew slade was faking switching sides. "put a gun to his head" indeed. and totally faked me out switching sides again! like... GAH!

and i'm SO MAD.... AGAIN! i bought malcolm's line about 'you go on ahead, i'll take care of anybody following you, disarm the land mine, and catch up.' well, but, i believed he could!!!

also point of note... if malcolm is going to sacrifice himself, who the heck is gonna fly the plane???? did we think of that, people!? bigger picture, here!

i hope they're NOT all fine, and at least most of them have some life-altering damage. like being partially paralyzed. (oh, wait... :X)

also, my... prediction/crack about william's mother dying, and leaving oliver trying to explain his illegitimate child to felicity, who's suddenly william's new mommy. :X it could happen!

Nope. I knew before watching the episode that Malcolm was going to die because I've read the spoilers. The actor that plays him even confirmed it in interviews.

lol He said that it could not be disarmed because something was broken. I hate how he died, but at least he saved Thea. It seems he did not think about "Who's gonna fly the plane?" when he did this sacrifice.

lol yeah it's been done before, so I think they will be fine, or at least the most important ones. I would be totally okay with the death of William's mother, and it would bring something new next season if Oliver has to care for William.

OH! now i remember the other thing i wanted to say...

i'm... kinda flabbergasted that oliver killed kovar and made it to the boat. with his fake hair and beard. i was thinking kovar made him miss the scheduled boat and he did end up stuck on the island for some more time. because... i dunno, you show up at a hospital and they don't NOTICE you're wearing a fake wig and beard???

of course, now, like sixth sense, you have to go watch it all over again...! ;D

We'll see if Malcolm comes back, but even if he is dead, we might still see him in flashbacks.
