Private Thoughts
Thomas came by the infirmary this morning to see Colton. He looked as if he hadn't slept in a while. I asked him about it, and he said that after he found out what had happened to Colton, he couldn't sleep. When he saw Colton, he got really pale.
Colton is in a bad way. I'm no fan of the guy, but nobody deserves what he got. I've seen some really bad burns in my time ... I was there when we we were rebuilding Karaya. A lot of my people were able to get out before the fires, but every so often, in the burnt wreckage we'd find the body of someone that wasn't able to get to safety and had been burned alive. Colton looks like that -- I'd go as far as to say that it is a miracle he's still alive.
Before Thomas left, he told me that he was going to get to the bottom of what happened to Colton. And then, he told me that Kaiden wanted to meet me. I haven't meant to ignore the Flame Champion. At least, not out of spite. To be honest, I'm a little intimidated by him. He's the Flame Champion, after all. Yeah, I'm the Flame Champion now, but he was first. Ever since I've had True Fire, I've dreamed of him. What will he think of me?
And even then, can duplicates of the same rune exist at the same time and place? Both versions of True Fire have existed so far, but what if they were brought together? What would happen then?
*shakes head*
It's a lot to consider. I'll go and find Kaiden and talk to him though. And then I'll make time to do something fun with Path and Stallion, even if I have to sleep less. I have a bad feeling that the infirmary might be getting busy again, so I want to make sure I spend as much time as I can with Path and Stallion.
