Title: Plenty Author: arrow00 Pairing: Fraser/RayK Rating: G Wordcount: 750 Categories: futurefic Notes: A totally, totally belated birthday snippet for nos4a2no9. Sorry, Nos! Started writing it but life bit me in the ass.
True partners, in every sense of the word and I'm glad to see them having a rythm and flow to their lives that speaks of rituals performed for many years -- The back rubs, the trips North and South.
AND, I watched a couple of vids about Due South, and I AM IN LUST WITH THIS SHOW --- WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THAT BENTON FRASER SINGS STAN ROGERS SONGS!
Seriously, I would watch this show now just because he sang Barett's Privateers. I'll be done watching the last seasons of Angel and Buffy in a couple of months and then I'm starting on Due South with Netflix.
I don't want to watch the eps on youtube -- too small a screen.
So, you and several other fine writers have gotten me into a new fandom.
Just an FYI from someone always happy to see new faces around these parts...the American releases of DS on DVD (no subtitles, slightly less crisp transfers, but otherwise, very servicable) are for sale on Amazon. The entire series, all three seasons are bundled for $36. Quite a bargain, if you can swing that.
Oh, wise one, may I ask a question? ::assumes yes:: I ordered the three seasons today but is Call of the Wild,(or is it Into the Wild?) included in that set of DVDs or was it like an epilogue two hour made for TV movie and not included? If it's not included I want to order it too, and I couldn't tell from Amazon's site if it was part of the series or not. Of course, I could just look when my set arrives, which is occurring to me as I type this, so if you don't know, well then... Never mind.
I believe it is included in the proper place. I don't have my US sets here to check right now. But as far as I recall, all eps are there, though the order may be just slightly different in certain spots. I'm happy for you that you ordered it. :)
I have been talked into getting the DVDs for more instant gratification instead of having them doled out through Netflix. I'm going to be on the lookout for that sweater.
Stan Rogers is so cool. My family, which is large and musical -- except for moi -- sings Northwest Passage and it is great to hear my four brothers take turns on the lyrics and listen to everybody else joining in on the chorus.
And I think Song of the Candle is the only song I've ever heard that takes the theme of writer's block and weaves into it this whole angsty life vignettes.
::claps hands:: I loved it! The link didn't work the first time I tried it but it worked this morning and I was late for work because I couldn't pull myself away from it. I'm going to send the link to my family, they'll adore it. My brother is a singer-songwriter and he was heavily influenced by Stan Rogers.

I'm probably going to do it. I haven't splurged on anything for a long time and I will cut back on buying more ice cream to make up the money.
Thanks for the tip,
