On the politest of requests from
Youko, I have been spending my time reading Peter Pan. Or perhaps, one should rather call it a friendly agreement~? Ah, yes, it is a fitting phrase.
Surely, my friend, you will have no reason to question my honesty in the future, since I have followed every clause of our mutual “deal”.
However, does my agreement with the order carry over in agreement with the book itself? No. Albeit it is surely an interesting piece of literature - one which I can fully understand mortals would find of great amusement, in their attempt at running from the realities of the years passing by almost otherwise unnoticed - it also proves to me the capriciousness of human nature.
"Ah yes, many girls hear it when they are sleeping, but I was the only one who heard it awake," Wendy told her precious little daughter. Foolishly. She was given the opportunity to escape the turbulence of life, the inevitable wave-crashes of adulthood, the storms of the mind and defeats of the heart! She was granted the honour of Peter Pan’s favour! Yet, what did she do? She allowed her mother of all people to kiss Pan goodbye and take his promises with him. Stupid girl~. She did not pay heed to the consequences of her indecisiveness, and who was the one to suffer? Herself? Yes~, but Pan also. However, Pan would forget, Pan would take another girl and another one after her. Wendy, on the other hand…
She could only hope for death to erase the memory of what had been lost to her.
Merciful death~.
And yet, you people read this book and you do not see~. Such a curious black-and-white vision you have. Not unlike dogs.
I remain unimpressed.
[ooc: Guh, took me too long to get back from vacation. He's been lying low, only sparsely commenting around, mostly to old familiar faces. Besides reading Peter Pan, he's been busy warmly welcoming
Elisabeth to the City. I'll make sure to have him be much more active now. He's getting tired of the ignorant optimism of people. It needs to change~.]
